We. Deserve. Better.
We. Deserve. Better.
Stephanie knows talking points don't build futures, and politicians are supposed to represent our communities — not enrich themselves.
From our congressional delegation to the capital, we're seeing too much of both these days.
Far too often, our elected officials vote on policies that benefit their own financial interests rather than the people they serve. They become unreachable once they get to Washington — responding with form emails, letting voicemail boxes fill up, and refusing to hold town halls where real questions get asked.
Stephanie is committed to being the most accessible congressional representative in West Virginia's history. She'll hold regular town halls across the district, answer calls, and respond meaningfully to constituents. She believes courageous conversations, even when we disagree, are how trust is built.
Stephanie also believes that our communities shouldn't have to search for resources, that's why she'll place a dedicated district staffer in each region of District 2—building relationships, connecting people to resources, and making sure those resources actually reach the people who need them.
Stephanie will continue being present in our communities; you'll still find her at bingo fundraisers, under the Friday night lights, and at the corner coffee shop. Washington won't change her, she'll always be a West Virginia girl.
Representation Policy Priorities
-
Mandate Divestment from Conflicts of Interest. Require elected officials to divest personal financial holdings (stocks, bonds, cryptocurrency, or other assets) that could influence their votes or create a conflict of interest.
-
Increase Transparency in Decision-Making. All financial disclosures, votes, and lobbying interactions must be public and easily accessible, so voters know exactly how decisions are made.
-
Guarantee Accessibility and Open Communication. Establish regular in-person town halls throughout the district, maintain responsive constituent services, and ensure no West Virginian is met with a full voicemail box or a canned response when they reach out.
-
Hold Officials Accountable. Implement stricter penalties for ethical violations, including fines and removal from office for those who put personal gain above public service.
-
Ban Partisan Gerrymandering. Require independent redistricting commissions to draw congressional maps using neutral, transparent criteria with measurable fairness standards. Mandate expedited federal court review so maps that violate anti-gerrymandering rules can be quickly struck down.
